The story of two sisters and their inspiration for Cake Affairs.

Our experience with cake baking and decorating goes back to early childhood memories sitting in Grandma’s kitchen, watching as she carefully measured each ingredient and waiting with eager anticipation as the air filled with the sweet smell of cake baked to perfection. Then the fun began. We watched as she took special care with each step. First icing the cake, then precisely measuring out and outlining the design on each tier until the finished product… a grand wedding cake towering over us.

As we got a little older she gave us the opportunity to learn from her many years of experience, not only teaching us the fundamentals of cake baking and decorating, but also the value of giving attention to every detail.

So here we are all grown up. About seven years ago armed with our family recipes, the experience we gained working alongside our Grandma, and the desire for our own creative outlet we started Cake Affairs where we maintain the most important ingredient to a beautiful and delicious cake… detail. It makes all the difference.
